We are thrilled to announce that for the second year in a row, we’ve been awarded a grant to travel to Senegal with UNH students. Last year, students, including Dija Haq, worked with Daara Miftawul Huda to improve sustainability and daily life. We provided essentials like beds, shoes, and fans, secured farming equipment, and connected the Daara with an agricultural extension agent. However, high electricity costs continue to strain the school’s budget, making a solar energy installation a critical next step. This year’s project aims to reduce energy costs, enhance farm productivity, and create a more sustainable future for the Daara.
